Oracle GUI on Cloud EC2

I have already showed how to launch and connect to an EC2, but in order to install Oracle through the OUI (Oracle Universal Installer), the following must be done:

1. Download Xming from http://sourceforge.net/projects/xming/files/Xming-mesa/6.9.0.31/Xming-mesa-6-9-0-31-setup.exe/download and install:

2. Download the Xming fonts from http://sourceforge.net/projects/xming/files/Xming-fonts/7.5.0.70/ and install:

3. Start the Xming server by clicking on the Desktop Icon
4. Make sure your EC2 instance has X11Forwarding enabled:
#as ec2-user# $> cd /etc/ssh $> grep X11Forwarding sshd_config #X11Forwarding no X11Forwarding yes #if it doesn't then change it: $> sudo vi sshd_config search for X11Forwarding - change to yes restart the service by either - $> sudo /etc/init.d/sshd restart - $> sudo service sshd restart
5. In the PuTTY configuration window, select "Connection->SSH->X11" and make sure the "Enable X11 forwarding" box is checked

6. Login to your EC2 instance using putty and run the following :
#as ec2-user# $> xauth list ip-XX-XX-XX-XX.domain.internal/unix:10 MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 ade3354fdd6633cde66663 #as oracle# $> xauth add ip-XX-XX-XX-XX.domain.internal/unix:10 MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 ade3354fdd6633cde66663
7. Launch the Oracle GUI:
$> ./runInstaller
